Nozawa REPORT

2023.02.15315cm / Snowy

We had a lull of snowing at 8:30 a.m. although it was snowing heavily. The much fresh snow around the bottom station of Nagasaka Gondola made me so excited. I was also surprised by the officially announced snow amount of “250cm”! After checking the snow amount, I decided to go to Yamabiko Course B (Photo), an off-piste slope.

When I dropped off to Yamabiko B Course, the 70cm fresh snow welcomed us! The fresh snow reached my back and was so fluffy. I heard people making shouts of joy like, “So good!”, “It’s so deep!”, “Yeah!” and “Foooh!”

5 people from Kobe City in Hyogo Prefecture (Photo) gave me the greeting, “We always enjoy your reports! Yesterday, it was so snowy that visibility was poor, but today is so nice!” In contrast to the crowded slope of Uenotaira Area, Kogenashi Area (Photo) was quiet, so I could enjoy the nicely firm groomed slope fully!
[Kogenashi Area A Course]

The groomed slopes of Yamabiko A, C, D were nicely soft and in fresh snow condition. I enjoyed the comfortable cruising on the slopes. The groomed slopes of Uenotaira Area and Paradise Area (Photo) were nicely firm. It snowed heavily again at 9:00 a.m.
