We had 30cm snowfall in the day yesterday and 40cm last night. There was 70cm snowfall totally, so the official snow amount jumped up to 290cm from 220cm! The upper part of Giant (Photo) was covered with 30-40cm fresh snow and the sunlight made the view so fantastic.

No.13 Lift was open at 9:40 a.m. after removing the snow in the stations and safety check of the courses in the upper areas. I moved to Powder Wave 2 (Photo) through Adventure Isle. As we expected, there was 70cm of powdery snow which reached my thighs!

Powder Wave 2 has the maximum degree of 35 and length of 1,500m, but it is good for trying because there are hardly any trees in the course. I heard people saying “It’s so amazing!” and “Today is the day!” We could enjoy totally 2km powdery run with Powder Wave 2 and NINJA (Max. 31 degrees, 450m).

A snowboarder from Nagano City (Photo) gave me the greeting, “I always enjoy your reports! I took a half day off today and came to enjoy this powdery snow!” Utopia was soft, groomed well and covered with 5-10cm fresh snow.
