For the 2 days from today, “JSP SKI FORUM on SNOW 2023”, a big test-riding event of skis, boots, goggles and so on, is held in the base area of Ura Taro Family East. If the number of the participants doesn’t reach 200 people, you can join it on the day. (*JPY2,000 per day. Office is located in Restaurant Wing, 1st floor of Sugadaira Sun Hotel)

A father from Shizuoka Prefecture who try skis with his wife and child (Left on Photo) said, “I always enjoy your reports! The slopes are in much better condition than I thought. It is good for test riding as well.” The groomed slopes of Ura Taro Family East and West were hard this morning, but it was melting at around 9:30 a.m.

The groomed slope facing the west of Omote Taro was too firm to edge. The groomed slope of Ura Taro Usagi (Photo) was nicely firm and in wet snow condition. In contrast to Ura Taro Family East and West where experts were enjoying high speed riding, beginners were enjoying cruising at their pace here.

I met Handa Tsubasa of Ueda Ski Club (Blue Clothes) who were taking photos before the opening of the ski area and he said, “Hi, I always enjoy your reports! I will join the All Japan Ski Technical Competition from Nagano Prefecture. See you in Happo again!” After that, In the nicely firm groomed slope of Ura Taro Schi Heil (Photo), the test to be an instructor of Nagano Ski Association was held on the skier’s right.
