3 people who were taking lessons at Shiga Kogen Ski School for the first time (Photo) were practicing basic techniques (Shiga Kogen is good for beginners thanks to the quality snow!). The groomed slope of No.2 Gentle Slope (Photo) was nicely firm, covered with 2-3cm fresh snow and in good condition.
[Kumanoyu No.2 Gentle Slope]
The slope was quiet in the early morning, so I could enjoy riding as I wanted in the beautiful frozen trees. By the way, No.1 Pair was closed temporarily today on 2/14 (Tue) because of the maintenance. The snow was getting heavier which started to fall at 9:30 a.m. in the fog.

One of the staff of Kumanoyu Ski Area (Photo) gave me the greeting, “I always enjoy your reports! Today, I got a day off and am enjoying riding. The snow is so fluffy!” The groomed slope covered with 3-5cm fresh snow in No.3 Gentle Slope was nicely firm and enabled me to enjoy curving.
[Kumanoyu No.3 Gentle Slope]
I felt so cold on the top area of the ski area because it was blowing a strong north wind. Umanose Course was in mixed fresh and wet snow condition and hard. When it was thickly foggy, people were skiing along the trees.
