The snow amount announced officially in Madarao reached 300cm on 2.15 (Wed), but it went down to 260cm because of the rain from 2/18 (Sat) to 2/19 (Sun). However, it reached 300cm again thanks to the good snowfall yesterday. We had a sunny and cold morning today and the temperature was -6 degrees at 8:00 a.m, but it was getting warmer because of the sunlight.

There was 10-15cm fresh snow in the off-piste area of World Cup. The groomed slope of Champion (Photo) was soft and in fresh snow condition. I could enjoy high speed turns with my sharp edging.

The groomed slopes of Paradise, Giant (1st Photo), Utopia (Photo) were nicely firm and in good condition! I saw people dropping off to the tree run courses such as River Line, Crystal Bowl and SAWA AREA and they made shouts of joy.

The snow in the groomed slope of Crystal (Photo) was as soft as that in the upper areas because this area is in the shades for a long time. A father from Chiba Prefecture (Left in Photo) said, “We will enjoy riding in Madarao for 2 days from today. We were excited with the good snowfall yesterday. This fluffy snow is so amazing!” His 2 children also said, “We like snowboarding!” with smiles.
