The soft sunlight came through thin clouds. It was not so cold, just -3 degrees, and blowing no winds in Giant Ski Area this morning. The edges of my skis worked well in the nicely firm groomed slope of Giant Area (Photo).
[Giant, Giant Area]
Giant Area has a length of 1,000m and the beginning part is relatively gentle and the lower part is steep with the maximum degree of 34. There is a gentle detour slope of Nanamagari Course (705m, Max. 12 degrees) on the skier’s left side of the middle part, so beginners can also try this course.
[Giant, Giant Area]
The groomed slopes of Mt. Nishidate Intermediate Upper Course (Photo) and upper World Cup Course (4th Photo) were firm and in wet snow condition. Mt. Nishidate Takamagahara Area, Mt. Nishidate Beginner Course and lower World Cup Course were nicely firm and also in wet snow condition. The slopes still remained in good condition after having many ski tracks.

4 people from Tokyo (Photo) said, “We got a day off today, so now we have 4 holidays from yesterday. The snow is so good although it is already in February. We will enjoy all of Shiga Kogen for these 4 days!” The slopes were crowded with people today.
