Although the weather has been good these days, the snow condition of the upper areas remains good in Shiga Kogen! It was cold this morning in Oku Shiga Kogen Ski Area and the temperature was -5 degrees at 8:30 a.m. However, there were no winds, so we could enjoy riding comfortably in the nicely soft groomed slope of No.4 Area.

The beginning groomed part of Downhill Course (Photo) was nicely firm. The edges of my skis worked well, so I could enjoy high speed turns there. The temperature was getting higher rapidly, so the lower part already started to melt.

4 people from Aichi, Gifu and Nagano Prefecture (Photo) gave me the greeting, “We always check your reports! We get together and go riding in this season around the beginning of March every year. We have a lot of fun thanks to the good weather and snow yesterday and today!” In Free Line Park in No.6 Area, the items were under renovation.

The haze over the ridges of mountains made me feel the scent of Spring. The groomed slopes of No.3 Area and Expert Course were nicely firm and in good condition. In contrast to the busy slope of No.3 Area, Expert Course (Photo) was relatively quiet and remained fresh for a long time.
