As of 6:30 a.m in Sugadaira with the good weather, the radiative cooling made the temperature very low and my thermometer showed -8 degrees. I moved up to Mt. Omatsu Go-no-hara (Photo) by No.1 Quad which was open at 7:00 a.m. The groomed part in the sunlight was nicely firm and in wet but fresh snow condition and that in the shades on the skier’s right was in fresh snow condition.

“NSD Kids Program Ski Snowboard Kids Competition” is held in Ura Taro Kamoshika Course on 3/4/ (Sat) and 3/5 (Sun). Today, “Challenge 0 Second”, a recreation competition, was held today (*Compete how the participants could make the gap close to 0 second between 2 runs). The 400 meter slope of the competition was groomed well and nicely firm (Photo).

A kid snowboarder who was waiting for his turn said, “I am so nervous now.” In contrast, a girl (Photo) who finished her first run said, “I did it! So tired!” and laid down on the slope. Her mother also said, “We are happy to join this kids event which is available for children.”

The groomed slope of Mt. Omatsu SAJ Official Champion Course was nicely firm and used for private use of pole training. The skiers who were practicing at the slope said, “We come to Sugadaira often for our training. Here is a good ski area to improve our skills.” and “We always check your reports!” In the groomed hard slope of Tsubakuro Challenge Course, some skiers were using it for their private pole training. By the way, Cosplay Event (You can get the 1 day ticket at JPY2,500 by wearing a costume all over!) will be held tomorrow on 3/5 (Sun)!
