It leaves just a month until Madarao Kogen Ski Area will finish the winter operation on 4/2 (Sun). The shuttle bus service from Akakura to Madarao and from Madarao Kogen Hotel to Nozawa Onsen finished today (*The line between Madarao and Iiyama Station is available until 3/31). The mountain pass available both in Madarao and Tangram is on sale until 3/26 (Sun). The connecting course from Sky View to Tangram (Photo) is open depending on the amount of snow.

We had a calm morning with the soft sunlight through the thin clouds. In the hard groomed lower part of Giant (Photo), there were small snowballs, but I could enjoy carving comfortably. I met a man after that and he said, “The slope is hard, but the edges of my skis work well.”

The middle part of Crystal (Photo) was groomed widely and nicely firm. The off-piste beginning part of Crystal was covered with hard bumps. The lower part of Crystal was groomed and the 8 items of Free Ride Park were also maintained well.

The groomed slope of Sky View (1st Photo) was hard and in corn snow condition in the upper part. The lower part was nicely firm and in corn snow condition. There were hard bumps in the off-piste middle part of Giant (Photo). At 9:30 a.m, there were lines of people in front of Super Quad and No.2 Quad and it took 2-3 minutes for the lifts.
