On 9/23 (Sat) when it was cool in Kanto Area, it was snowing for the first time on one of the highest mountains in Hokkaido, Daisetsuzan Asahidake (Altitude 2,291m). According to Wakasa Resort Ltd., which owns Asahidake Ropeway, the rain falling from the morning changed to snowing at 9:30 a.m. and the summit was covered with snow slightly. The summit will be capped with snow soon.

*The first snow on Asahidake was on 10/5 (Wed) last year (2022). On average, the first snow comes on 9/25, the earliest snow was on 9/6 and the latest first snow was on 10/15.
