Ski Area Altitude Gap Ranking Top 20

Here is a list of the top 20 altitude gap ranking of ski areas in Japan in the 2023-24 winter. This ranking will be updated because the altitude gap will be changed depending on the new lift or course opening or closure.

*In Kagura , Gezan Course was closed in the 2023-24 winter, so the gap between the summit (Altitude 1,840m) and the bottom of Family Course (Altitude 863m) was adopted.
*GALA Yuzawa and Ishiuchi Maruyama are available with the same ticket, so the gap of the summit of GALA Yuzawa (Altitude 1,181m) and the bottom of Ishiuchi Maruyama (Altitude 256m) was adopted.
*In Tengendai, Yunotaira Course was open from 1/19 (Fri) to 2/14 (Wed), so the gap between the summit (Altitude 1,820m) and the bottom (Altitude 920m) was adopted.
*Ontake is out of this ranking because Champion Course was closed in the 2023-24 winter. If it was open, the altitude gap would be 820m between the summit (Altitude 1,820m) and bottom (Altitude 1,420m).
